Village of Bethel Tree Replanting Program
The Clermont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is requesting quotes for the 2024 Village of Bethel Tree Replanting Program. Clermont SWCD and its partners are seeking to distribute up to 825 trees to village residents in May 2024 (275 trees), Fall 2024 (325 trees) and Spring 2025 (225 trees). Requirements are listed below:
- Please quote a delivered and unloaded price for a selection of trees, six species if available and more if possible, in the 1-inch caliper size range. Deliveries for each of the three distributions is to be made in the Bethel, Ohio location. Partial quantity quotes are acceptable.
- The tree selection must be of non-host Asian Longhorned Beetle (ALB) species. High canopy native species are preferred. The full scientific name with cultivar must be provided in the quote. ALB host trees that shall not be included are:

- Aesculus sp. (Horsechestnut, Buckeye)
- Albizia julibrissin (Mimosa, Silk Tree)
- Betula sp. (Birch)
- Cercidiphyllum japonicum (Katsura Tree)
- Platanus sp. (London planetree/Sycamore)
- Populus sp. (Poplar)
- Salix sp. (Willow)
- Sorbus aucuparia (European Mountain-ash)
- Ulmus sp. (Elm)
- Quoted trees must be hardy and tolerant of southwest Ohio growing conditions.
- All plant material must comply with American Standard for Nursery Stock ANSI Z60.1-2014. Trees shall have single, straight trunks and leaders and shall be well branched according to their habit of growth. All trees shall be healthy representatives, typical of their species or variety and shall have a normal habit of growth. They shall be full, well branched, well proportioned, and have a vigorous, well-developed root system capable of sustaining vigorous growth. Good nursery stock shall be selected; no park grade trees will be considered.
- Preference is to have trees quoted as containerized, but can also be balled and burlapped, or a combination of each.
