Clermont County Hosts “Great Tree Summit” on Feb 23

Clermont County is proud to host Taking Root’s 6th annual Great Tree Summit on Saturday, February 23. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the 4H building at the Clermont County Fairgrounds, 1000 Locust Street, Owensville, OH 45160. There will be great discussion, silent auction, and light refreshments.

Networking opportunities with Taking Root partners, tree board members, passionate leaders in the tri-state area, and fellow tree enthusiasts abound. The keynote speaker will be Cory Christopher, Director of the Center for Conservation at the Cincinnati Nature Center. Cory oversees conservation staff managing Nature Center lands, directs scientific research, coordinates regional conservation initiatives, including Milkweed to Monarchs and Plant Native!, collaborates with local organizations and agencies to provide engaging programs for all audiences, and works to preserve and protect green space in Southwest Ohio.
