Clermont SWCD Accepting Applications for AmeriCorps Member

The newly created Ohio River Basin Corps (ORBCorps) is looking to enroll six AmeriCorps members, including one that will be based at the Clermont SWCD office in Owensville. The Hamilton County Conservation District will host four members, and one will be stationed at Butler SWCD.

The ORBCorps 2023-24 service year runs from November 6, 2023 – October 2, 2024. The duties and responsibilities of the AmeriCorps member serving Clermont County will be to assist with the monitoring and sampling program in the East Fork Little Miami River watershed. The AmeriCorps member will also assist with inspections required under the Ohio EPA stormwater general permit, including stormwater outfall inspections, inspections of post-construction stormwater management practices and investigations of illicit discharge complaints.
