*Addendum 1_RFQ_for the Lower East Fork Stream Restoration Project
Salt Run-EFLMR (HUC-12: 050902021305) – A significant segment of the lower East Fork Little Miami River (EFLMR) is impaired by severe stream bank erosion. The active erosion is resulting in significant property loss on the left and right descending banks, and the sediment loads are degrading stream habitat and impairing biological communities, specifically native fish species. Ohio EPA has monitoring sites in the vicinity and data show biological impairment caused by stream bank instability. Clermont SWCD is providing assistance to the landowners and working with state and local partners to stabilize the site and restore this segment of the EFLMR.
Ohio EPA is providing funding for this restoration project through their Water Resources Restoration Sponsor Program (WRRSP) and the City of Akron is serving as the project sponsor.
