Conservation at the Fair
For local residents, there’s only one place to be during the last week of July - the Clermont County Fair. For our conservation minded friends, here are some ways you can engage in and practice conservation at the fair this year.
- Visit our rain garden! Located near the poultry barn, this garden filters and soaks in stormwater, preventing runoff and keeping the walkways dry.
- Come to Natural Resources Day! From 11-4pm on July 28th, we will be in Lykins Pavilion with our Stream Table showing how erosion and deposition change a landscape.
- Don’t forget to recycle! There will be several recycling bins across the fairgrounds for soda, water bottles, and paper/card products.
- Pick up litter! Let’s all do our part to keep the fairgrounds clean.
- Bring a reusable water bottle! There is a filtered water refilling station in the Ag Services Center.
- Visit us! We will have a booth with conservation information and giveaways in the commercial building, or visit our office in the Ag Services Center (next to gazebo).
